In the first match versus India, Sri Lanka showed magnificent effort and seized the victory from under the hands of India. Though India has put forth a massive target of 174, Sri Lankan batsmen chased the target with the support of Kusal Perera who scored a destructive 66 in just 37 balls. This shows that the Sri Lankan batting lineup is as ready as possible to face Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I. Bowlers like Dushmanth Chameera, Nuwan Pradeep, Danushka Gunathilaka, and Jeevan Mendis managed to seize some important wickets earlier in the match, although they were at loss of controlling the rapidly increasing score.

The Bangladesh team who played their first T20I of the Nidahas Trophy against India has stumbled a little in their batting with the top players like Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah performing poorly. The only batsmen that scored above 30 runs from the Bangladeshi team are Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman. Though the team looked like it needs a little improvement in the bowling department, Bowlers like Mehidy Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Rubel Hossain managed to maintain fantastic economy rates. The team although lost the match displayed a decent level of skill for a team with many young players.

Both the teams are well equipped and share an equal level of winning chance in their next match against each other. Since it is a T20I, the odds can be in favor of either of the team which makes Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh match an exciting one.
