Nidahas Trophy 2018:
Nidahas Trophy 2018 is a T20 International tri nation series hosted by Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa international cricket stadium located at Colombo which will be held on the first week of March. The event was planed as a mark of celebrating Sri Lanka's 70th independence year. The three nations competing for the Nidahas Trophy 2018 are Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh. Each team will have to play twice with other two teams, therefore it is a round-robin match. The two teams with more points will get into the finals and battle to claim the thrown.
The Sri Lankan fans are no less excited and passionate than the Indian and Bangladesh fans. With the stadium filled with huge number of Sri Lankan fans supporting their team, the home team will get a great and electrifying support that will cheer up the players of the Sri Lankan cricket team. The captain of the Sri Lankan team Dinesh Chandimal along with few experienced players and majority of young players who made their debut less than two years ago are set to compete with other two teams on their homeland.
Sri Lanka being the host of the tournament has the greater probability of winning the series. The support from the fans and the used pitch of their home ground is an added advantage for them to win the games held at their home side. Also majority of the players in the Sri Lankan cricket team are new young debutante face, therefore the opponent might have not yet found the correct strategy and the weakness of the players to counter attack their batting or bowling style.
